TSNjoin - digital Classroom
TSNjoin is based on the open source web conferencing system BigBlueButton (BBB for short) and has an integration into the learning management system TSNmoodle.
TSNjoin offers the classic web conference functionalities, supports presentations with advanced whiteboard functions - such as pointer, zoom and draw - offers visible or private chats for all participants, screen sharing, allows telephone dial-in and uploading and optional downloading of slides in PDF and Microsoft Office document format. Subordinate online rooms (so-called breakout rooms) can be set up or voting can be carried out.
Users can join the conference in three roles: as a listener/viewer only, as an active participant, or as a moderator. Everyone can raise their hands and chat with others. Moderators can mute or unmute others, make any user the current moderator or presenter, and ban users from the session. Presenters can control the uploaded presentation.
All Tyrolean teachers are automatically assigned moderator rights, and all Tyrolean students participant rights. This ensures that nothing stands in the way of undisturbed lessons when used correctly.
TSNjoin offers a variety of control options to meet the different requirements of a modern web conference system.
Numerous preconfigured room types are available, on the basis of which moderators can create rooms.
TSNjoin is via the Tyrol portal or https://join.tsn.tirol/ accessible. After a login, the user information is reused in the TSNjoin rooms. There is also the option of letting guests without a TSN account participate in meetings.
An overview of the functions can be found in the TSNjoin knowledge database
